Coffee at the Commons is moving to the Woodacre Fire Station this month! Join us for free coffee and a closer look at how the future Fire Headquarters is beginning to take shape.
The community is invited to share initial reactions to the architectural character of the site presented through visual references and imagery.

Past Events
July Coffee at the Commons
We held our first Coffee at the Commons series in partnership with Marin County Parks on July 25 at San Geronimo Commons. Community members gathered for coffee, pastries, and an update on the future Fire Headquarters project.
Attendees were introduced to the design-build team working on the project, while Marin County Parks shared how the surrounding parks and open space lands are managed. The event also provided an opportunity for neighbors to connect with the project team, ask questions, and share feedback.
Community Webinar
The webinar held on Tuesday, April 21, was well attended, with more than 100 participants. The presentation included updates from Marin County Fire Department and Marin County Parks, focusing on the project timeline current progress, and how community input is helping shape project decisions. We also shared how key community priorities, including Safe Routes to School, a community garden, trail access, and local training space, are being considered alongside operational and safety needs.
The meeting began with a presentation followed by a Q&A session. All questions submitted during the webinar have been added to the project website, below.

Community Coffee
The Marin County Fire Headquarters Community Coffee held on December 7th, 2025 was well attended, drawing more than 150 community members from throughout the San Geronimo Valley and greater Marin County. Attendees engaged in meaningful conversations with project leaders, learned about project goals and timeline, and shared what matters most to them. The event generated hundreds of comments, providing valuable input as the County moves forward with project planning. The information received will help inform future design decisions by the design build team and County project leaders.
